Nissan has announced it will be showing an X-Trail Clean Diesel model at the 2008 Integrated Exhibition of the Environment in Hokkaido*1 (June 19-21) as well at the G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit (July 7-9).
The X-Trail uses a M9R diesel engine, which was co-developed with Alliance-partner Renault, and uses advanced technologies to deliver high torque and powerful acceleration, in addition to improved fuel-economy while meeting the new regulatory Japanese emission standards, referred to as ‘‘Post New Long-term Regulations’’.
The X-Trail Clean Diesel hits the market in September of this year, well ahead of the new emissions regulations which go into effect by October, 2009.
